Additional considerations
For full frame illustrations, it would be ideal for illustrations to be used in multiple ways (e.g. multiple vignettes made possible with one illustration).
Full frame deliverables should offer the possibility to be taken apart and broken down into smaller pieces, with parts that will be isolatable and/or removed, much like the full frame city illustration that was submitted in the first round of illustrations.
It would be our preference that one of the new full frame illustrations be developed in a similar/complementary style to this full frame city illustration.
Extended background scenes and mix-and-match character illustrations are something we could be interested in exploring in Phase 2 as well.
Uses and artwork configurations
Below are specifications and considerations pertaining to the usage of illustration assets:
- Suitable for both print and digital applications
- Should be able to enlarge artwork for large-scale pieces such as billboards, large banners, scaffolding if needed
- Layered Illustrator files should be provided for minor modifications and adjustments
- Assets to be delivered in a way that allows adding subtle animation in the creation of animated GIFs and potentially, for videos
Print specs
- Typical Print Size – US Letter in North America; A4 in the UK
- Typical Print Production – Digital, 4-color process; minimal offset printing in Canada and UK
Digital specs
- Website Carousel Size: 2700 x 1200, bearing in mind that content outside of center area will be cropped on mobile.
